馬刺前役歷經延長賽惡鬥後以3分之差險勝火箭，系列賽取得3：2的聽牌優勢，不過第6戰將回到火箭主場舉行，且陣中第一主將「可愛」Kawhi Leonard已正式被球隊列入每日傷兵名單、尚無法確定能否出賽，對馬刺而言是一大隱憂。
Leonard是在第三節還剩下5分37秒、成功製造James Harden失誤後、準備攻防轉換之際不慎踩到Harden的腳而扭傷左腳踝，雖然他持續待在場上，但隨後決勝第四節以及延長賽都並未出賽。
Leonard在賽後曾向媒體表示自己第6戰會帶傷上陣，但11日馬刺球團卻正式將Leonard列入每日傷兵名單，並表示不僅腳踝扭傷、Leonard的膝蓋也有些許傷勢，目前還無法確定第6戰能否出賽。
倘若Leonard缺陣，對於馬刺來說是一大利空，系列賽至今Leonard面對火箭每場可攻下23.8分、9.8籃板、5.8助攻，且是馬刺用來箝制Harden最有利的武器，在主控Tony Parker已經報銷的情況下，缺少Leonard會讓馬刺第6戰面臨相當嚴峻的考驗。
去年1月間，高雄老字號豆製食品「筌聖老家」食品工廠，驚爆非法僱傭外籍移工，並涉嫌軟禁一名印尼籍女工長達14年，消息一出引發震驚。上月28日，高雄市勞工局祭出重罰120萬，負責媒介移工的仲介公司也遭罰50萬；但為何事隔1年才開罰？勞工局解釋，因為當時業者矢口否認有軟禁之事，因此須待司法調查釐清後，才能進行開罰。
上月28日間，高市勞工局局長鄭素玲表示，本案在去年1月間會同警方查獲並移送檢方，對於非法僱用外籍移工、苛扣移工證件及薪資財物等違法情事之雇主，勞工局強調絕不會寬貸，因此重罰「筌聖老家」120萬，而幫忙媒介移工的仲介公司，也連帶遭罰50萬元。
有疑問指出，為何案發至開罰間隔了1年之久？勞工局今天(1日)則解釋，業者遭查獲的當下，矢口否認有軟禁移工或苛扣薪資等情況，緊接著全案進入司法程序，因此才拖到現在開罰。
對此，勞動部長林美珠也坦言，高市警局當時接獲通報之後，已立即移送法辦，並經過認定該案屬於「人口販運案」，必須處以刑罰，全案移送至地檢署；不過直到去年11月間，地檢署才將涉案人起訴，勞動部與地檢署間未有暢通之聯繫管道，對方也未即時告知相關資料，這部分勞動部必須檢討。
