有時候我們需要有信心，相信「不」就是上帝對禱告的回答！
Just a tiny little child, Three years old, And a mother with a heart, all of gold.
有一個三歲的小孩子，和她慈愛的媽媽。
Often did that mother say, Jesus hears us when we pray, For He's never far away
And He always answers.
媽媽常告訴她說：耶穌會聽我們禱告，因祂總離我們不遠，祂也一定會回答我們的禱告。
Now, that tiny little child had brown eyes. And she wanted blue instead like blue skies.
這小孩子有一雙褐色的眸子，但是她卻希望有一雙藍色的，如同蔚藍天空的顏色。
For her mother's eyes were blue like forget-me-nots. She knew all her mother said was true, Jesus always answered.
因為媽媽的眸子就是藍色的，像勿忘我草一般。她相信媽媽的話都是真的：
耶穌會回答我們的禱告。
So she prayed for two blue eyes, said "Good night," Went to sleep in deep content And delight.
所以她禱告，求一雙藍色的眸子，然後說：「晚安！」帶著深深的滿足和喜悅入睡。
Woke up early, climbed a chair by a mirror. Where, O where Could the blue eyes bye? Not there; Jesus hadn't answered.
一早當她醒來，爬上椅子，對著鏡子。噢！藍色的眸子在哪裡呢？不在那兒。
耶穌沒有回答禱告。
Hadn't answered her at all; Never more could she pray; her eyes were brown as before.
根本沒有回答她的禱告。她無法再禱告了，因她的眸子依舊是褐色的。
Did a little soft wind blow? Came a whisper soft and low, "Jesus answered. He said, No;Isn't No an answer?"
一陣輕柔的微風吹來，帶著溫柔、悄悄的耳語：「耶穌已經回答了，
祂說：『不。』 難道『不』不是回答嗎？」
At a very early age, Amy Charmichael prayed for blue eyes, but her brown eyes stayed brown ! A good thing, too, because Amy became a daring missionary in India, where blue eyes would have marked her as a foreigner. Sometimes we need to have faith that "No" is an answer to prayer !
賈艾梅年幼時，禱告要有一雙藍眸子，但她的眸子仍是褐色的。這也不錯，因為後來賈艾梅去到印度，成為一個勇敢的宣教士。在那裡藍眸子會使她被視為外國人。
