Mack the Knife, originally German music drama, is in 1928. It’s said the version was less dashing and much more cruel and sinister and has been transformed into a modern anti-hero. I just know I like the tune’s light but powerful and the lyrics’ clueless but imaginable. If there was a new version of Mack the Knife’s MV, I prefer a loony comedy added tongue-in-cheek.
Trumpeters often call their instruments as a chopper which is an odd wording, but when I listened to Louis Armstrong’s piece first time, I realized the word ”chopper” is so accurate. No wonder I love this song so much because there are two weapons in it.
