This booklet stamp issue of ten 45 cent stamps depicts a scenic panorama reflecting the beauty of New Zealand's countryside. Each stamp shows a specific self-contained landscape but is also part of one total integrated theme.

The stunning variety of New Zealand's landscape is captured here in one bold, imaginative booklet. This striking design and its vibrant colours symbolise the sea, land and sky, and conjure up the clean, green unspoiled image of New Zealand. Everything is here: the giant pohutukawa, coastal vegetation, beach, river, cultivated land, barren hills, rocky shoreline, fiord, steep countain faces, deep water, alpine mountains, glacier, rocks, boulders and native bush.
