Tilburg is a very special place for me. It's the first time I went overseas alone (1999). In the previous night before departure, Fred called several times to find me to explain how to go to the meeting point and take the shuttle bus. Then I took the airplane next day. In the airplane, I just sat next to an old dutch man, very nice and talktive. This becomes my first image of the Dutchman. And I am impressed that their life style. They spent all the money for vacation and then back to work. No waiting till retired.
After a long flying, I arrived the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. And it is really a long way to get the meeting point. I was a little worried. But I found it. Then I was the only tourist to take the bus, luckily Alvon didn't go out but stay in guest house to greet me. But he was also exausting due to work pressure. We went to a Hong-Kong fast food for some rice food. It tasted good at this moment. But I remember I didn't go there again..
The next day I feel more familiar and comfortable then enter our factory. Our office is located in 2F. Whne enter the door, whole plant full of the music from the broadcast. I don't remember in HsinChu we have this working environment. And there are 5 cent office. The HR lady told me she drinks 5 more coffee per day while the taxi driver takes 20 cups of coffee per day. My goodness~
Then I meet Ivo. The humorous and friendly friend who I still keep contact with. He is so warm to prepare everything I might need. Including NB, network, Phone, etc. And there is another support guy Mahesh, from India, to support ERP. A very expensive helpdesk.. He already stay NL for a few weeks. He was used to travel alone. Taking photos to himself. He told me sometimes he developped his photos and found himself was snaped incompletely (no head, or only leg, etc). Haha! Later on I will have more new friends from WW like Nico (Finland), Karen (Morroco), and some from England, Turkey..
