暑假期間，是青少年與好友及家人相處的好時光，但也是青少年最容易受到菸品誘惑的時期！依國民健康署青少年吸菸行為調查顯示，同儕或家人若有吸菸，對於青少年的吸菸行為影響最大，而青少年是否將零用錢花費在菸品上，更是應該要關注，才能避免孩子染上菸癮，Fun一個充實又無菸的暑假！
青少年吸菸率高 同儕、家長吸菸影響大根據國民健康署青少年吸菸行為調查顯示，106年國中學生的吸菸率為2.7%；高中職學生的吸菸率為8.3%，而其中父親或母親有吸菸的國中生及高中職生吸菸率分別為4.3%和11.8%，較父母均不吸菸的學生吸菸率約多2.6倍；另一方面，若青少年多數好友為吸菸者，其吸菸比率則高達4成，相較於沒有或僅少數好友吸菸的青少年之吸菸率3.2%高約12.6倍，顯示青少年深受家長與同儕吸菸態度的影響。
避免染菸癮
從共創無菸環境開始 國健署強調，菸品對於青少年健康會帶來許多危害，除了造成或加重氣喘、支氣管炎等呼吸道疾病外，與兒童白血病、淋巴瘤、大腦與中樞神經系統病變、肝母細胞瘤等癌症也有顯著關係，也容易造成認知能力缺陷。因此，家長可以從營造家中無菸環境著手，除別讓孩子接觸任何吸菸行為外，也多留意孩子的交友狀況；在給予孩子零用錢時，多和孩子討論分享零用錢的使用，關心孩子的花費，避免孩子落入菸品致命的吸引力中。
遠離菸害不嫌晚 善用戒菸諮詢專線國民健康署署長王英偉提醒，家長平時應多關心孩子的作息與零用錢使用狀況，並以自身不吸菸為榜樣，營造拒菸、無菸的環境。孩子會開始吸菸的原因並不是單一因素所造成的，可能是無聊好奇、朋友邀約、處於吸菸環境、或紓壓等，若發現孩子接觸菸品甚至是電子煙，父母應以關懷代替責罵，及早為孩子尋求專業戒菸服務，帶其遠離菸害。
