內向的越南小女孩"Hoa"離開了媽媽來到美國學校,因為語言不通加上個性內向不敢說話,

離開媽媽前跟她記得媽媽交代她話"Ut,my little one,be an Angel child.Be happy in your new American school.

在學校有一個 boy with fire -colored hair boy.常常跟惡作劇外表給人感覺很冷酷

Hoa無法適應在學校生活，變得很想念媽媽





在學校她發現雖然那個男孩看似沒有什麼情感，卻會偷偷掉眼淚

Hoa對他說 "not cry .I give you cookie."

Hoa 跟他說內心沒有跟任何說過的說"Her mother is far away"

男孩一起幻想畫著有一天他們坐船回去看家人....

小女孩站在市集中央像個天使一樣的小孩說

最後她終於完成心願看到媽媽了,並且跟大家變成朋友一樣，變得比以往都還要來得開朗。
