他們摘下2005年葛萊美最佳新人等兩個獎項，全世界狂賣逾1千萬張！Maroon 5/魔力紅混合搖滾及節奏藍調樂風的首張專輯【珍˙情歌/Songs About Jane】替他們在流行樂壇大放異彩。在經過長達四年的等待，Maroon 5終於將推出他們備受全球矚目的第二張大碟【It Won’t Be Soon Before Long】。
新專輯在家鄉洛杉磯錄製，並找到製作人Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem)，Mark "Spike" Stent (Gwen Stefani, Bjork, Keane, Marilyn Manson)，Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple)，Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Nickel Creek)一同操刀。新加入的鼓手Matt Flynn也為魔力紅帶來新的動力。「我們對於成果非常滿意」主唱Adam表示，也歸功於唱片公司給予他們創作新音樂的自由。「上一張專輯【Songs About Jane】，你可以輕易聽出我們受過哪些樂風影響，但這張新作聽起來更有魔力紅的特色。」Adam說「我們正走出自己的路，我認為這張專輯會幫助我們更認識自己。」
首支單曲「Makes Me Wonder」，很明顯的Maroon 5再次成功捕捉了所有元素，創造出一首全球性的流行搖滾勁曲。這首歌以連續的重低音貝斯開場，搭配動聽又極具感染力的旋律，掩飾住歌詞中的感傷「給我一些證據讓我相信，因為我已無法相信妳」在歌曲表面下，Adam試著傳達「對這世界的未來所累積的不滿」，同時也賦予了這首描述分手的快節奏單曲更深層的意義。單曲「If I Never See Your Face」則道出速食愛情殘酷的真實，歌曲中的吉他獨奏頗有向音樂大師Quincy Jones致敬之意。至於單曲「Wake Up Call」的嘻哈曲風則引出一段黑暗故事中背叛與憤怒之情緒。專輯中也蘊含著分享希望的正面意義，「A Little of Your Time」是團員們公認最特別的作品，講述情感需要克服不信任和溝通困難的挑戰；另外「Won’t Go Home Without You」則是哀怨的唱出『再一次補救的機會』。
