聶魯達詩譯之二: 第二十五首十四行詩(Sonnet: XXV)

愛上妳之前，愛人，我空無一物：
我踽踽走過街巷，經過所有物體：
沒有瓜葛沒有名稱：
世界是空虛的等待。

我知道佈滿灰塵的房子
月亮棲居的下水道
霉髒貨倉傳出“滾開”吼叫
疑問堅持隱藏沙土。

一切皆是虛無、死亡、沉默，
被遺棄，任由漸漸枯萎：
無法想像的陌生，這一切切

都屬於他人－－從不屬於某個人（騎士按：值得深思的一句）
直到妳的美麗與貧瘠
將秋天填滿豐盛禮物。

Before I loved you, love, nothing was my own:
I wavered through the streets, among
objects:
nothing mattered or had a name:
the world was made of air, which waited.

I knew rooms full of ashes,
tunnels where the moon lived,
rough warehouses that growled 'get lost',
questions that insisted in the sand.

Everything was empty, dead, mute,
fallen abandoned, and decayed:
inconceivably alien, it all

belonged to someone else - to no one:
till your beauty and your poverty
filled the autumn plentiful with gifts.
