There has been a virtual explosion of social-networking internet sites in the past year or two. Even the big people like Google, Yahoo and MSN are getting into it.
With so much curiosity about how social networks work, one begins to wonder if you have marketing potential within these social networks?
I have been seeing social networking for a while now. The truth is I am an associate of numerous social media web sites including https://www.linkedin.com and http://www.myspace.com/ merely to name two.
I joined partly because I wanted to see what these were, but moreover to see on SEM what influence social networking could have in the coming years.
I've been a part of numerous services for quite a while and the reach these sites have is amazing.
For instance, from my LinkedIn network of seven people I've an expanded network of over 12,600 people. This dynamite mannate h site has several telling suggestions for the purpose of it.
That is amazing - I am merely a click or two away from close to 13,000 other people who share my related interests ranging from what I like to watch on TV to work I could provide to them.
Through my connections and their connections, I'm related to people starting from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.
But what advertising possibilities exist for Social Media?
Well, let us look at MySpace.
MySpace is one of many prime sites online today. I-t racked up 9.4 thousand page-views in August 2005 (significantly more than Google) and new people are signing up at a rate of 3.5 million per month.
MySpace is typical of where todays 18-30 year old visits manage their electronic life. To get different interpretations, people are encouraged to check-out: analyze www mannatech com canada. I-t allows people to post photos of themselves and their friends, develop a website, record a common artists, view and share videos, suggest activities to do and lists a couple of people they consider friends. It is with this 'Friends List' where all of the possibilities lay.
All thirty million-plus users of MySpace have a friends site that lists people that person considers their friend. This is a listing of individuals who they are interested in reading from on a regular basis, along with speaking with and about. They can send you emails, discuss your photographs, read your websites, as well as leave messages that you can then tell the others when you put someone as your friend. This is an opportunity for instant feedback about you.
The capacity to include friends to your site is important for marketing to MySpace customers. According to Courtney Holt, head of new media and strategic marketing at Interscope Records, 'This technology is growing up with out ever seen developed media. 'They don't think in terms of-the record, and they don't think in terms of a TV schedule. They think with regards to TiVo, P2P, AOL, and of course MySpace.
You can observe how this might develop.
Let's say you create a MySpace account to talk about your product or service. You website about this and search for the others that could share your interests.
You then ask them to be your friend. When they become a friend you start your 'soft market' selling your solution to them.
They begin blogging and discussing it, as they grow to understand it. Soon hundreds or even thousand of individuals are referring to you and your product or service.
Do not think this will work?
I'd like to give a few examples to you. There are numerous groups who've gotten their start MySpace. By simply hosting a few of their music on line and blogging about them-selves they created a following. To get different ways to look at this, consider glancing at: learn about www.twitter.com/chrisbrummerdr. Soon they had file deals and contracts lined-up.
Naturally to work with services like MySpace you'll need to have something this marketplace needs. If you do not then you probably should not put a lot of effort into MySpace.
But that does not mean other social network opportunities should be ignored. Linked-in is more of a specialist introduction service, as i stated earlier. If your service or product meets here then by all means examine it further.
And you'll find the others also. Ser-vices including Flickr, Yahoo!s MyWeb, http://del.icio.us and more.
If you have ever wondered what other online options might be available, con-sider social media. It could be the next great online marketing channel.. Visit renu 28 review to research the meaning behind this view.
