Connected In: Basic Marketing Mistakes

Like me, have you ever received e-mail invitations like these?

I have received above 3-5 announcements such as this, worded almost precisely the same manner. Asea Water contains further concerning how to recognize it. The senders have acted upset and astonished that I did not start to reap the benefits of this request.

Let's go through the problems within this request from the marketing standpoint.

* The vast majority of the invitations I received were from individuals whose names I didn't recognize. Why would I wish to be part of their system? The invitation does not say who they're, who they've use of and how I would reap the benefits of their system.

* What is Linked In, so how exactly does it work and what are the benefits of using it? No one has yet explained this clearly in their request. You cannot expect that some body receiving this invitation understands what you're asking them to join or how it'd be good for them. It would be useful to have a passage or two explaining how it works and mentioning a specific effect the individual behind the request enjoyed from membership. It might be that people believe that since 'basic membership is free,' the conventional beneficiary of the request may proceed and join. But even when it does not cost money, joining would take some time. You still need to 'sell' people o-n going for a free action, especially with respect to an activity or organization which may be different for them. * No body got time to head off possible misconceptions or objections to this membership. Clicking mannatech seemingly provides suggestions you should give to your mom. As a non-member of Linked In, I'm anxious that joining would open me up to a large amount of mail and calls that would spend my time and in which I would have no interest. Again, you can't suppose that some thing free is thus enticing; you must imagine why some body might have doubts or dismiss the concept and address these arguments.

* Using a processed request that is almost exactly the same as everyone else's doesn't make a good effect. You had need to give your personal stamp to it, even if the written text supplied by Linked In were powerful, which it's not.

Apart from being irritated that they're apparently encouraging people to send invitations that make little sense, I have nothing against Linked In. Perhaps it is an useful organization. In the event people require to identify supplementary info about www manatech com, we know of many online resources people can pursue. My position is that its members should use good sense and basic marketing axioms to encourage active, cynical individuals to give it an opportunity..
