Should we have urine screening for Welfare applicants?

Like lots of folks in america, I have work. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and as they see fit the government distributes my taxes. In order to get that salary, I am needed to pass a urine test, which I've not a problem with. And the main reason I've no problem with a drug test is because I've nothing to hide. What I do have a problem with will be the distribution of my fees to folks who are doing drugs and never have to move a urine test.

Should not one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I've to pass one to make it for them?

Please understand, I have not a problem with helping people get back on their feet. Https://Www.Addictiontreatmentorangecounty.Com/2018/11/16/Opiate Detox Risks contains more about when to flirt with this enterprise. I do, on another hand, have trouble with supporting someone sit on their butt. Could you imagine the amount of money the state would save if people had to move a urine test to acquire a public assistance check?

A 1999 Michigan law needed a pilot program of arbitrary substance abuse screening in no less than three counties. Drug assessment began at the start of October in Alpena, Presque Isle, and Berrien counties and a designated section of Western Wayne County, including some of Detroit's west side neighborhoods. All the new candidates for that region had to supply a urine sample to officers or quit their to any government aid. Moreover, any individuals already inside the program had to submit to random screening. A class action lawsuit was filed by the Michigan chapter of the ACLU two days ahead of routine testing. The suit charges that the program violates the constitutional rights of welfare recipients. Two Michigan mothers and a Detroit organization (The Westside Mothers) were named in the match. The business focuses on addressing countless welfare recipients and their families. Kary Moss, executive director of the ACLU in Michigan states, \The Fourth Amendment guarantees that no individual in this country could be subjected to a search by the federal government unless there's reasonable suspicion that they've committed some crime, welfare recipients may be poor, but that is not a not yet, anyway.\

I have spoken to a number of people face-to-face and on boards about their thoughts and those that oppose this have the same stance, that it's unconstitutional. In my opinion, it appears that I'm perhaps not moving random drug check onto any random resident. The welfare recipient chooses to get support from the government. Therefore just like posting paperwork, you need to send a urine sample. I learned about https://anaheimaddictiontreatment.com/oxycontin-abuse.html by searching Google. Still another posture people talk about is false positives. Well when they declare fake good, then execute a hair follicle test.

If urine check are unconstitutional, then scrap the entire welfare program. Let your voice be heard on Political Majority.com..
