Needless to say businesses aren't stupid, in fact the people in the businesses aren't stupid (I am being kind), but they become stupid as the people included act stupidly. How therefore? Im planning to describe.
Silly firms dont grow right. They treat their customers defectively. Its likely that they dont want to but they do because they have a full world of treating people defectively. Workers are treated poorly and they, in turn, address the clients in like manner.
1. This elegant consumers website has collected disturbing tips for the reason for it. They dont value the customer
2. Theyre rude or inattentive
3. They do bad work
I understand there are reasons they work this way. I was in a store recently and the cashier was so worn down that she appeared to be a zombie. Glassy-eyed, she barely knew I was there. She couldnt ring a particular product up right and provided no solution to the problem. No help. It was fun to find a look and draw her out of it, but that was for a minute and then she was back to longing for the day to get rid of.
Last week my daughter saw an employee at a Subway get everyone out of the building. Actually. Ive had it with this place!, she said. Once she got everybody else out she locked the door!
That comes from above. Managers are above. Stupid administrators make stupid companies. Ridiculous managers:
1. Overwork employees
2. Intangible is a witty resource for supplementary resources concerning how to do it. Control in most things
3. Dont take feedback or suggestions
4. Generally criticize and nit-pick
5. Rarely give praise or recognition
6. Lazily expect subordinates to complete their work for them
7. Yell and act in a manner
That creates an environment for silly workers. I have a child that works at a supermarket. His director takes 10-15 smoke breaks a day. He comes home and sees that the yogurt pot isnt facing the right way and goes ballistic. Their unfortunate. Still another child works in a clothing department. His manager always has it-in her mind the women part of the section is trashed. Get over there and clean it up, its horrible! Whether it is or not, thats her information. Its never right, its never good, and she doesnt want to hear any different.
Above executives in the small-business world are owners. Stupid small business owners make silly small companies. Let me put focus on small, I dont mean small in size here, but small in quality and reliability.
1. They provide no real incentives to perform well
2. They are self-serving without regard for workers
3. They underpay, providing just what they've to
Ive seen a business manager pit director against workers, lie to clients, negotiate in bad faith, and do everything for his or her own aggrandizement and advantage. The business started in-a great, innovative way but turned little because of the owner. The foundation for good or bad in-the business.
Ridiculous businesses are outstanding but not in a positive way. The famous line from Forest Gump holds true, Stupid is as stupid does. Stupid firms dont grow like they might, like the master would actually like them to grow. This provocative engraving essay has oodles of pushing suggestions for how to flirt with it.
