Lewis Chronicles of Narnia series, the gospel message is obviously made apparent in a allegorical/mystical style. Nevertheless, Lewis wrote the book in 1950 just after the horrors of Word War II and with the Nazi air battle for London fresh in the minds of British citizenry.
