Social Networking

With therefore much interest in how social networks function, one begins to wonder when there is advertising potential within these social networks?

There has been a virtual explosion of social networking sites in the past few years. Even the people like Google, Yahoo and MSN are getting into it.

With therefore much interest in how social networks work, one begins to wonder if you have marketing potential within these social networks?

I have been watching social network for some time now. In reality I'm a part of numerous social network websites including https://www.linkedin.com and http://www.myspace.com/ just to name two.

I joined partly because I wanted to see what these were, but more to the point to see what influence social network would have on SEM in the coming years.

I've been an associate of various ser-vices for some time and the reach these sites have is outstanding.

For example, from my LinkedIn network of seven people I've an expanded network of over 12,600 people.

Imagine that - I am only a click or two away from close to 13,000 others who share my similar interests ranging from what I like to watch o-n TV to work I could provide to them.

Through their connections and my connections, I'm connected to people ranging from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.

But what marketing opportunities exist for Social Network?

Well, let us examine MySpace.

MySpace is one of many prime sites on the Web today. It racked up 9.4 thousand page-views in August 2005 (greater than Google) and new customers are signing up in a mind-boggling rate of 3.5 million a month.

MySpace is typical of where todays 18-30 year-old goes to manage their digital life. It allows people to post photographs of themselves and their friends, create a weblog, record their favorite artists, watch and share videos, suggest things you can do and lists a couple of people they consider friends. It is on this 'Friends List' where the majority of the opportunities lay.

All thirty million plus people of MySpace have a friends page that lists people that person considers their friend. This can be a set of individuals who they are interested in talking to and about, as well as reading from on a normal basis. Once you add someone as your friend they can send you messages, comment on your photos, read your blogs, as well as abandon messages that you can then give others. This really is a chance for immediate feedback about you.

The ability to include friends to your site is crucial for marketing to MySpace customers. Based on Courtney Holt, head of new media and strategic advertising at Interscope Records, 'This generation is growing up without having ever watched programmed media. 'They don't think in terms of the recording, and they don't think in terms of a TV schedule. They think when it comes to TiVo, P2P, AOL, and obviously MySpace.

You can observe how this may develop.

Let's say you create a MySpace account to speak about your service or product. You weblog about any of it and seek out the others that may share your interests.

After this you ask them to be your friend. Be taught more about us.viadeo.com/en/profile/thomas.baskind/ by navigating to our provocative use with. When they develop into a friend you start your 'comfortable market' begging your product for them.

As they grow to understand it, they begin blogging and discussing it. Quickly hundreds or even thousand of individuals are referring to you and your product or service.

Don't think this can work?

I'd like to give a few examples to you. We found out about commercial www.medium.com/@tombaskind by searching the Internet. There are numerous groups who have gotten their start on MySpace. By just hosting a few of their music online and blogging about themselves they created a following. Soon they'd document deals and contracts prearranged.

Of course to use ser-vices like MySpace you-need to get anything this target audience needs. If you do not then you probably should not put too much energy in-to MySpace.

But that does not mean other social network opportunities should be overlooked. As I mentioned above, Linked-in is more of an expert introduction service. If your products or services meets here then by all means investigate it further.

And you'll find others aswell. Companies such as Flickr, Yahoo!s MyWeb, http://del.icio.us and more. Click here official link to research when to study it.

So if you have ever wondered what other online opportunities might be on the market, consider social-networking. It could be the next great website marketing channel.. To get another interpretation, please consider having a view at: account.

The katana, a traditional Japanese sword, holds a revered status as one of the most iconic and recognizable weapons in history. With its curved, single-edged blade and distinctive circular guard, the katana embodies the essence of Japanese craftsmanship and martial tradition. Renowned for its exceptional sharpness and cutting ability, the anime swords are not just a weapon but a symbol of honor, discipline, and the samurai way of life.
