路跑／波士頓馬殿堂 台灣選手逾百人破紀錄
波士頓馬拉松比賽歷史悠久、參賽資格門檻高嚴苛，被許多長跑者視為「神聖殿堂」、「經典夢幻」之地。在全球長跑選手蜂擁賽中，台灣選手也不例外。據駐台北經濟文化辦事處，今年台灣代表團共有160人參加，其中選手102人，加油團58人，為歷年來最浩大、也是台灣最大之外國參賽團。
台灣波馬團團長鄭英哲通過電郵指出，今年台灣選手有134人取得波馬的資格，相對於過去幾年， 取得資格人數及參與波馬人數都是大躍升。他說，主要原因是波馬已經成台灣跑者的努力目標。藉由前幾年參賽者分享經驗，以及追求全
送禮新上市球六大賽事(WMM)熱門，更多台灣跑者努力築夢，要到波馬朝聖。
今年有六名台灣選手跑完波馬，就將完成他們六大賽事的目標。他說，最難得的是今年有兩位視障跑者洪國展、呂冠霖進軍波馬。隊中約十名女選手參賽；近十人曾經參加過波馬。還有些跑者通過慈善方式取得波馬參賽門票。
他說，因為波馬門檻高 、富盛名，隊友對參賽特別謹慎和期待。許多夥伴都有一年或至少半年的練習準備。許多人希望在波城創下個人佳績、完成自我挑戰，或親身體驗波馬魔力、享受跑在夢幻殿堂中的滋味，希望在此盛會中展現台灣活力與精神。
與經文處密切合作，負責接待台灣跑者的波克萊台商會（BTCC）除了舉辦接待餐會，也將在比賽當日上午7時30分至下午4時，於波士頓 Boylston 街815號的蘋果店(Apple Store)前設置加油站，為台灣選手和波馬跑者加油打氣。會長楊羅東提醒當日綠線地鐵Copley Square和Prudential 兩站關閉，乘坐地鐵進城者可在Arlington 或Convention Center 站下車。「別忘了吃個豐盛早餐，帶瓶水、把簡便午餐裝在透明塑膠袋中，加入加油隊伍」。
