這是一個很美麗的舞台表演，結合了舞蹈、音樂、舞台設計、服裝設計，是視覺聽覺的融合，也是感官的震撼與享受。
神秘女巫媚惑的眼神，綠色精靈美麗的愛情，俏皮摩登的男女挑逗，熱情奔放的海灘舞蹈。雪中的火山像優雅的冰雪女王，火的危險誘惑製造感官的刺激，黑夜裡絢爛璀燦的熔岩噴發，為表演畫下一個完美句點。
表演融合了多種元素，打光和色彩的運用營造完美的氣氛。這是之穎第一次在夏威夷欣賞正式的表演，是一個很棒的回憶。原來真正的藝術是沒有國界的，即使來自台灣，仍然能感受到它美的能量強烈地召喚。
Hawaiian Myths & Legends is the most wonderful art performance I’ve ever seen. It’s a perfect combination of dancing, drama, music, costume design and so on. What impressed me the most is the stage design. The application of colors plays an important role in this part. Each scene has its main color. The color also greatly matches the light. The properties also strengthen the atmosphere a lot. Great combination makes this wonderful show.
The first scene is blue light with white waves. Dancers move their body slowly like innocent infants. There are three white packs hanging on the sky, and it’s surprising when dancers stretch their limbs from the pack. They seem just wake up from beautiful dreams. All arrangements are great creations.
The second part is full of national color. The dancer bends and holds the stick, moving slowly. The slow movement with the strong music makes mystery. Three men subsequently come into the stage and we can see the colors of their costumes are bright blue, green, and red. It catches audience attention right away.
Next, there is something about jazz and modern dancing. The director arranges the humorous point here, giving audience a relaxing break. The funny guy wears in green, while the sexy woman wears in red. Beside this contrast, the suit symbolizes serious versus the bright green and his funny position makes another contrast, reaching an amusing effect. When they say “You are the one for me!” with definite voice, it makes surprisingly strong contrast again. Other black dancers as the servants also add much dramatic effect. And the way that dancing with a row of chairs is also an ingenious design.
Another two parts which impressed me a lot are “Forest” and “Fire”. “Forest” is also the most romantic one. The two spirits are dancing on a beautiful circle, making a wonderful picture not only in our eyes but also our minds. With the graceful love song and dancers’ beautiful flexibility, I really feel touched at that moment. As for “Fire”, it successfully builds the feeling of glamour with black and red color. Fire is dangerous but also can be allure. The woman’s high heels, wild hair and short cloth are also strong images. She is like a proud queen with leering eyes, and all men light the fire one by one for her.
What’s also worthy to mention is the way of soliloquy. The director makes it on stage with performance. In this way, she tells us body can also talk and speak up. And it’s also an interesting way to present the soliloquy.
Hawaiian Myths & Legends really gives me a visional shock. I experience a wonderful enjoyment of sensation. It’s also my first time to go to the theater in school and it really gives me a very nice memory. Real art doesn’t have national boundaries. Even for Chinese, I can still feel its strong strength beckoning.
