亞青杯準決賽中華台北擊敗韓國

中華台北弄翻正式種子排行版在延時加賽,以34-29擊敗第一種子衛冕的韓國隊,而進入亞青杯(Olympus Capital Asian Junior Rugby Championship)決賽,對手地主香港隊.

第五種子中華台北隊,在第一天絆倒第四種子泰國.今日準決賽,在下半場賞以12-22落後,但經孫薪建(Sun Hsin-Chien淡江),陳郁輝(Chen Yu-Hui長中),王裕翔(Wang Yu-Hsian長大)相繼達陣,反擊回去建立出乎意外的勝利.

然而當中華台北翻轉領先29-22,在香港足球俱樂部球場還剩四分鐘,韓國正鋒(Young Soo Nam)達陣,而射腳(Yun Su Woong)又在關鍵時刻轉換攻門成功(conversion)變成29-29平手.

因為淘汰賽必須延時加賽(extra time)分出勝負,雙方都不能打破僵局.在第六分鐘中華台北板凳替換球員孫薪建(Sun Hsin-Chien淡江),在這場準決賽第三個個人達陣秀.證明是這場比賽致勝的達陣,引起全場的祝賀聲.

中華台北將在星期六當地時間17:30在決賽面對香港青年隊.地主隊也展示他的強勢,在另一邊準決賽對斯里蘭卡,在下半場讓他抱蛋而歸,而以51-10大勝斯里蘭卡.

韓國因為第一種子隊,第一輪輪空,直接進入準決賽.他落敗必須在第三名複賽,面對斯里蘭卡.而泰國對抗馬來西亞,爭奪第五名席位.馬來西亞今日以46-10大勝新加坡,隊長Az-Zuhran Zainal達陣兩個.

Chinese Taipei turned the formbook on its head by beating top seeds and defending champions Korea 34-29 in extra time to book their place in the Olympus Capital Asian Junior Rugby Championship final against host nation Hong Kong.

The number five seeds, who had upset Thailand on day one, fought back impressively from 22-12 down in the second half with tries from forwards Sun Hsin-Chien, Chen Yu-Hui and Wang Yu-Hsian setting up the unexpected win.

However as soon as they had taken the lead Chinese Taipei allowed Korea to level the scores at 29-29 with centre Young Soo Nam touching down and Yun Su Woong kicking the crucial conversion with four minutes remaining at the Hong Kong Football Club.

Neither side could break the deadlock and so extra time was needed, Sun Hsin-Chien proving Chinese Taipei's match winner six minutes into this with the replacement touching down his third try of the semi final to spark the celebrations.

Chinese Taipei will now face Hong Kong in the final at 17:30 local time on Saturday after the Under 20 tournament hosts proved too strong for Sri Lanka and pulled clear in the second half to win 51-10 in the other semi final.

Korea, who had received a bye into the semi finals as the top seeds, must regroup to face Sri Lanka in the third place play-off, while Thailand will play Malaysia for fifth place in the seven-team tournament after the Malaysians overcame Singapore 46-10 with captain Az-Zuhran Zainal scoring two of their tries.
