I think I’ve had the most bizarre experience with my hamster pets.
Within a few months of time, I’ve had fierce albanians that either bit or died, one short-eared that escaped and nvr been found, one fatty that eloped for 3 weeks and found behind the washer/dryer, one milky-fur that mysteriously disappeared from the fully-secured cage over night...
The most recently escaped one was the new one with smooth pure white mixed coat I exchanged the dead albino with last weekend. She is one hyper rat, and super flexible. The other night i put them all to bed (i like to think that way w/o them biting me), I was pleased to see 3 of them in that cage all got along. The next day morning before I left the house I went to check the cage, and doh!!!! she was gone missing. I combed and scooped the whole cage, no sign of her. The other two were sound sleeping and disturbed by me scooping them around. But...IT WAS GONE????!!! How???? i started to suspect that my house had alien intruder. There’s simply no way for a caged pet that size to even "squeeze" outta the cage....my only conclusion is that, he got abducted by alien.
Last nite, as I was snoozing in bed while my man setting up funny mouse trap hoping to catch her, I glimpsed a quick movement across the room. I jumped up of the bed and screamed out "SHE’S HERE". Then we shut the door, sealed the door jam, and carried a pan ready to bust that bastard. We then put her back to the cage, restless still, but we began to realize how she gotta the cage. She poked her head through every single bar and some have slightly larger space between bars and she flattened her body and got it out....
man....my hamster turned out to be a stunt rat......

That was the one-eared hamster that nvr found her way home after escape. She liked to hang high to get away from the other one’s bully.
