Not sure if it was the alcohol still in my system or the brightness of the unfamiliar room @ Vic’s house, I had only 3 hours of sleep Saturday nite and had to get up early Sunday morning to gear up for the sailing trip.
Our captain Peter was a handsome British man, he, Josh and other guy Gerrit shared the ownership of the sail boat. It was a rather sunny day out in the bay, we departed from the South Marina (a block away from SBC ballpark) and sailed cross bay bridge and docked at The Ramp to eat lunch. The trip was pleasant, and i was more than pleased to find out that 2nd Sunday Party on Kelly’s Mission Rock was right next to where we were eating. The Ramp is a cool place, live band, great BBQ, and interesting patrons. We sat around for hours and headed back around 5, it was damn freezing cold. I had to ask myself a question, if i really enjoyed sailing that much? or the eye candy captain Peter, haha....
Living w/the constant excitment helps to distract me from the emotinoal ambivalence, after my Brit beau made the first phone call from China, I had an epiphany, regardless of my reluctance to admit and face the truth, I have too much pride to get over with and I am not willing to take the first plunge. After all, I’m a novice to this!
