How do one live his/her life to the fullest extent with no regrets? Wake Boarding!!it's such an amazing aquatic activity that requires so much strength and persistence. With 20+ attempts and effort still only got dived into the water and drank way too much lake water, I was determined to come back soon!
Three hours bumpy lumpy drive and we finally arrived Brian's cabin by lake Oroville. Its nice and cozy. Before we settled in, and yet before I realized, we were already making drinks:) We played Jenga and just hung out drinking and killin' ourselves for the rest of the night.
Saturday morning boys woke up hella early cooked breakfast and made coffee. By the time we girls finally peeled ourself from the bed it was nearly 11am. We loaded tons of spirits and food into the van (and of course also SPF30) and made sure the boat was hooked firm and tight to the car, we started rolling!!! It was a beautiful day, water was so clear as it could reflect everything in the universe. Short bumpy lumpy boat ride to our desired boarding area, I was the first one to take the plunge!! OMG, it felt so goooood! I'd die for the moment like this. It seemed zero effort when boys emerged from the water and stood on the board jumping cross the wake, when I really got down there....man, I realized no matter how well you can swim, how athletic you are, or how much strength you carry, it really takes a lot of attempts and efforts and much more of the persistence to GET IT UP! I earned a big A and lots of bruises for all-of-the-above though I failed to get above the water to stand on the board, haha....but it was hella fun! We tried a couple different ways to help me get "on board", including doubled-boarding and tube boarding (I sit on the edge of the tube and supposedly get up more easily). I tried...I really tried EVERYTHING!!!
Angela couldn't swim and didn't like water much, so we put her on the tube for tubing, and of course with life jacket on:) she was happy as a lovely bird! I couldn't help but wondering, was this like the maneuver when Titanic sank?
10 hours under the sun, not only we were roasted and well-done, but also burnt and sore....I couldn't go to bed w/o assistance, I felt the need for neck and back braces. I had to shower in cold water o/w my skin breaks out and hurts. I look no less than charcoal. But this is def. one of the greatest experience in life I'd die with no regrets! I'm so looking forward to the rafting trip next month, yay:)
