The UK newspaper The Times, via their Higher Education Supplement, recently published their ranking of the world's top 200 universities (05.11.04). Here is a summary of their views:
No Curtin University of Technology
76 World ranking
22 Asian ranking
10 Australian ranking
1 Western Australian ranking

The top 12 Australian universities listed by The Times are:
16 Australian National University
22 Melbourne University
33 Monash University
36 University of New South Wales
40 Sydney University
49 University of Queensland
55 RMIT
56 University of Adelaide
68 Macquarie University
76 Curtin University of Technology
96 University of Western Australia
113 University of Technology Sydney
