SI.com專欄作家Joe Lemire寫了一篇有關於大聯盟球員與出場代表音樂的有趣文章(http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/joe_lemire/01/31/at.bat.intro.songs/index.html).

看到這文章時我有個奇想,王建民今年若是順利復出,怎不挑首周杰倫的歌曲當做出場音樂呢?郭泓志也可以選首五月天的搖滾歌當出場音樂?職業運動有很大的娛樂成份,每一名球星靠著場上成績拚下個人名聲,但是,有些軟性成份得靠更專業的人來包裝.

也因為這篇文章所賜,找到了MTV這個媒體於去年明星賽期間挑選各個位置最佳的出場音樂,這份名單我還特別找了youtube的連結讓大家聽聽⋯⋯這些音樂,其中,Metallica入選兩首最風光,而太空人Hunter Pence也是名單裡唯一挑選女歌手歌曲的球員,看一下名單如下:

Player: Eli Whiteside, Catcher
Team: San Francisco Giants
Song: Ozzy Osbourne, "Crazy Train"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u-4mEXYLF8&feature=fvst)
An oldie but a goodie, Osbourne’s tune about going off the rails reflects Whiteside’s unpredictability and also his manic energy.

Player: Paul Konerko, First Base
Team: Chicago White Sox
Song: Metallica, "Harvester of Sorrow"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=551_hC414UY)
Konerko is having a resurgent year, and he comes to bat with an incredible tune. A lot of athletes use Metallica songs, but while many will choose more popular fare like "Enter Sandman" or "Master of Puppets," Konerko goes with a blaster from ...And Justice For All. That’s the mark of a true fan.

Player: Ian Kinsler, Second Base
Team: Texas Rangers
Song: Ram Jam, "Black Betty" and the Alkaholiks, "Make Room"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMLnDuzgkjo)+(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_ikw8Z7lpI)
Not only is Kinsler actually an all star second baseman, but he also has one of the crazier (and best) one-two punches in the at-bat music world. Ram Jam and the Alkaholiks — together at last!

Player: Andy LaRoche, Third Base
Team: Pittsburgh Pirates
Song: Joe Esposito, "You’re the Best"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1kS0A_E2Ag)
Esposito’s legendarily cheesy ’80s rock classic (best known as "that awesome song from the Ralph Macchio version of ’The Karate Kid’") is one of the most underrated sports anthems in history. You have to feel good about LaRoche’s chances whenever he steps up to the plate (or squares off against the villains from the Cobra Kai).

Player: Jimmy Rollins, Shortstop
Team: Philadelphia Phillies
Song: Ludacris, "My Chick Bad"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqHliQijgvA)
It really doesn’t make much sense, but you have to give him credit for pushing the envelope.

Player: Chris Carter, Outfield
Team: New York Mets
Song: Rick Derringer, "Real American"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wiYdUe36_Q)
Carter (whose nickname is "The Animal") isn’t even an everyday player, but every time he comes up for a pinch hitting opportunity, Hulk Hogan’s old theme song plays. Well done, sir.

Player: Roger Bernadina, Outfield
Team: Washington Nationals

Bernadina gets extra points for having a pretty excellent highlight reel that plays on the screens in the stadium when he comes to bat. On top of that, it’s an inspirational tune that immediately gets the adrenaline in the crowd pumping (which is no small feat at the under-attended Nationals games).

Player: Hunter Pence, Outfield
Team: Houston Astros
Song: Katy Perry, "California Gurls"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F57P9C4SAW4)
Pence is neither from California nor a "gurl," and the Astros are terrible this season, but at least you get to hear Perry’s excellent effervescent pop tune three or four times a game.

Player: Mariano Rivera, Pitcher
Team: New York Yankees

Is there a better tune in the universe for a closer? Not only does it sound great when turned up loud, but it also lets everybody know that he’s about to put the game to sleep.

Player: Matt Capps, Pitcher
Team: Washington Nationals
Song: Europe, "The Final Countdown"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lky2LYMgA5g)
Cosmically speaking, it’s the exact opposite of "Enter Sandman," and yet it still rules. Capps isn’t as automatic as Rivera, but he still gets credit for keeping "The Final Countdown" alive.
