【研究動機Research motive】
隨著國內音樂市場日漸萎縮，以往歌手唱片動輒破百萬的銷售數字已經不復存在，無論是盜版猖獗或是MP3下載的熱潮，除了唱片銷售大受影響外，也使得國內錄音室面臨生存的危機，許多錄音室已經缺乏資金來源，故不斷精簡人力，亦轉型接唱片以外的案子，近幾年來更以諸如廣告配樂、電玩配樂、電影配樂、電視劇配樂…等類型為主。
這些影響乍聽像是E化世界的合理結果，但是MP3在全球皆為盛行，歐美卻有不少知名錄音室仍能維持其生存，其中必與每個國家的音樂文化以及民族性有所關聯。
By the decrease of domestic music market, the sales situation of disk is not good as past anymore. Include the piracy rampant and the fashion of MP3 download, it’s not only effects the sales situation of disk but also make the domestic studio face to serious crisis. Many studios have been lacked of the fund source, so they did reduce the employees and transferred style to take some cases which are not related to the disk. Recent years they did background music of advertising、games、movies and drama for the main case style.
These effects sounds like reasonable results of 21 century, but the illegal download is popular in the whole world, there are still some famous studios are able to maintain their business in western countries, it must be related to the music culture and personal character.
【研究目的Research purpose】
本文主要分析國內許多知名錄音室的現況，並與以往MP3 Download尚未風行時做比較，用以研究國內音樂市場對於錄音產業之影響。除探討錄音產業變遷與落寞之原因外，亦分析歐美國家之錄音文化，再與台灣做交叉分析，期盼能夠啟發對於音樂製作有興趣的民眾，解救台灣岌岌可危的音樂市場。也期待能夠引起教育界的注意，創立完全屬於流行音樂類的相關科系、培育錄音人才，若能夠有足夠的專業人士，必定能夠帶動其發展，進而影響相關的娛樂產業。
This thesis is to analyze the condition of domestic famous studios and compare with the generation which the illegal download was not fashioned. According to the research, the domestic music market might be effect to the recording industry. It’s not only discuss the reason of the poor record industry but also analyze the record culture of western countries. Finally, cross-over analysis with Taiwan.
This thesis expect that it can inspire the people who interested in music production and rescue the poor music market in Taiwan. The educational world may be pay attention to it and develop the departments which belong to pop-music, it will breed up more producer. If there are enough professional producer, it will be able to leading the develop of music industry and effect the whole entertainment industry.
【摘要Summary】
歐美的許多錄音室一直都是完美後製的指標，在歐美眾多國家中，無論是音樂技術或知識，都相對較台灣成熟許多。而其錄音室文化、唱片行銷手法與銷售量，也與台灣有顯著的差異。本文針對網路下載普及化後，台灣面臨的娛樂產業大蕭條，以及該現象帶給音樂產業之影響做分析，並以錄音室所受到的衝擊與變遷為重點，再與歐美知名的錄音室做交叉分析，探討東西方錄音文化差異，並針對此一現象做出具體可行之建議。
研究發現，東西方國家除了對於音樂的需求層面不同外，在錄音室倫理以及軟硬體設備的應用或錄音的習慣上，有著顯著的差異。研究者亦深入台灣知名錄音室「擎天信使」，以及音樂後製工作室(即歐美相當普遍的production house)「Sonus」做深度訪談及工作參與，深入體會音樂工作者的接案及工作概況，並參考許多音樂製作相關文獻及歐美流行音樂雜誌期刊，做出具體改善建議。
Many studios in western countries are always be the head of perfect music mastering, the technique and knowledge of music are more maturity than Taiwan in those countries. There are some conspicuous differences between Taiwan and western countries: culture of studio、method of disk marketing and the sales digit.
This thesis is focus on the result of widespread download which effect domestic music industry and cross-over analysis with the famous studios of western counties by the studio changing, discussing the difference between domestic and foreign culture of studio and list some available suggestion.
According to the research, the needed of eastern and western countries are totally different. Not only the ethic of studio but also the habit of record. The researcher also interview the famous studio 「G.T.X.S」 in Taiwan and the production house 「Sonus」, participated in their work to realize the general situation of this occupation. Finally, propose some useful advises by consult documents of music production and the pop music magazine of western countries.
