呼叫樂團的原始團員只有兩名，原本是志氣昂揚的兩個好朋友，一心一意要往音樂界進攻，他們深信自己的音樂有朝一日會征服全世界。在2002年，他們以首張專輯「卡米羅大街」征服了全球樂迷，而兩年後的今天，團員艾力克斯班德(Alex Band)與亞倫凱米 (Aaron Kamin)的音樂革命情感依舊堅定不移，以《第二彈Two》為專輯之名出發，在RCA唱片旗下發表他們的第二張音樂力作，再度收服全球樂迷的心！

洛杉磯出身的Alex Band與Aaron Kamin兩人早於青少年時期便已結識互為好友多年。當時的Aaron Kamin正與Alex Band的妹妹交往熱戀。他們兩人遂即透過秘密廣告的方式徵募了兩位分別為58歲的資深鼓手以及另一位40歲的貝斯手組成了一支樂團，並將其命名為妙趣橫生的Generation Gap。儘管Generation Gap的壽命短促，但是他們兩人卻持續向前邁進奮力發展他們無窮盡的音樂野心。

在結束販售他們自行創作錄製的母帶之後，他們的音樂作品獲得了來自主流唱片品牌RCA的高層人士Ron Fair的矚目。一張正式入主主流音樂市場的唱片合約隨即生效，而同時他們兩人也集合了其他當地音樂人包括貝斯手Billy Mohler，鼓手Nate Wood以及吉他手Sean Woolstenhulme(Lifehouse樂團鼓手Rick的兄長)等人一起加入參與The Calling樂團。2000年夏季，The Calling前往錄音室並開始著手進行他們首張專輯的錄製工作。
