”要不要半杯可樂?”
坐在對面的一位老紳士問我,
很多時候,人們總是以沉默回答問題.
我走在通往Penn Station的33街上,忽然覺得口渴.
(.....小圭, 翻譯真的很累,英文跟中文的語句用法不一樣拉>_<~)
總而言之，就是某天走在曼哈頓的賓洲火車站附近，忽然覺得口渴
可是懶的去買飲料，所以直接去等火車回家．
那天才發現原來平常火車站裡面放的音樂是街頭藝人的現場表演，所以驚訝了一下
然後決定把剛剛省下來的飲料錢分一半給那個彈吉他的人．
後來上了火車以後，對面的老先生問我要不要跟他share一半的可樂，
我笑一笑拒絕了．
大意就這樣～
”Do you like a half of coke?”
An old gentleman who sat on the opposite of me asked.
And sometimes, people answer questions without any word...
I was walking on the 33th street toward the Penn station, and a thirsty feeling just ingurgitated me somehow.
It was kinda weird and inordinary so I didn’t get a cup of Latte right away.
And that was exactly a correct decision!
It’s impossible to avoid wasting time on waiting for trains.
However, it is also impossible to avoid the sweetness of buskers’ performance.
I thought these touching music in the train station was just playing by CDs, though they are actually by live play!
So I found the lonely guy playing guitar on the corner in the station.
I was standing by a marble pillar, and thinking......maybe, I could share my ”Latte” with him.
It took about four dollars for a cup of Latte in NY, so I divided it into two.
Well, there was a reason for that throwing tips into the guitar box became embarrassing, and it dued to ...... I didn’t know why.
Anyway, I took two one dollar bills and put them into my jean’s pocket.
I was waiting for a best time to give the tips.
As the aboarding time coming, I made my mind and walked to him.
When my hand stretched the box with the bills, I saw his smile.
He was able to buy a half of Latte.
”How you doing?” he asked and expressed a little bit of surprise.
I send him a smaile but answered the greeting without any word.
Now, I was on my way home.
Luckly, there was a empty seat on the oppsite of an old gentleman holding a cool coke with two cups.
I sat down and justled the old man’s knees in accident.
”Sorry.”I said.
”Oh, that’s fine, sweety.”he said.
Seconds later, he asked me, ”Do you like a half of coke?”
I shaked my head and answered him without any word.
But i kept thinking that why he brought two cups with him alone?
An answer showed up with a conflicting feeling, happyness and sorrow.
He once rode home on train with his lady, and they always shared a cup of coke.
That was why the gentleman always took two cups even though he was alone......
This is a dairy about a half of drink.
