對於對手拿出抬頭有民進黨的收據，指控民進黨「金援」反課綱微調學生，民進黨主席蔡英文29日表示，「民進黨對於很多社會運動，若訴求是一致的，都會有一些少許的、實務上的支助。這並不表示金援或操弄學生」。
蔡英文29日上午參訪黛安娜成衣公司，瞭解台灣的產業脈動。對於30日將到台南探視當年捐出3隻小豬的3胞胎，蔡英文表示，台南在上次大選裡，最讓人印象深刻的還是3個小朋友送給她的3隻小豬，所以她也很想去看看他們。
對於國民黨總統候選人洪秀柱以毛澤東批評蔡英文在課綱爭議扮演的角色，蔡英文表示，首先，這次課綱調整的程序是違法，而且內容有很多爭議，法院也都做成了判決，認為是違法；在這種情況下，本來就該撤回、重新作業。在這個過程當中，教育部與執政者都沒有做有效的溝通，造成整個社會更大的對立，執政者跟教育部要負起最大的責任。
蔡英文表示，其次，這次課綱抗議的事件，是學生自主性的行動，但她看到國民黨一再扭曲，尤其連總統參選人都參與這個扭曲事實的說法，是讓人感覺蠻失望的。
對於有人拿出發票指控民進黨金援學生，蔡英文則說，「民進黨對於很多社會運動，其訴求是一致的時候，都會有一些少許的、實務上的支助。這並不表示金援或操弄學生，這完全是不一樣的2件事情。從過去到現在，民進黨對於社會運動採取的態度都是一樣的。」
