But it seems to be just another window dressing. Things there just went the opposite. Accompanied by a manager, I went inside the site with a helmet on. It didn't take long to know the real situation.
"How many times do I have to tell you to keep your kids away from here," shouted the manager. I saw some children, about 10 to 12-year-old, playing inside the building while their parents were working. Asked why some workers wear helmet, and some don't, the manager silenced, apparently embarrassed by my question. He then started to yell again. "You," he pointed at workers, "go get your helmets right now! Don't you know you have to wear it?"
Suddenly, I felt sorry for the workers, but ironically, I seemed to get the knack of how to deal with Chinese workers…
