At a small store in Taipei

陜西異鄉味
Giving off the smell and flavor from a strange town of Shaanxi

浸香
Immersed in that fragrance

餐桌下那片
Under the dining table that blade of

蟲蛀楓葉
Insect-eaten maple leaf

初冬的深紅
The deep crimson red in early winter

禁不住
That cannot help
蔓延開來
Spreading and rambling to

關關復開開
Extend to turn off and on again and over again

電動門
The automatic slide door

訴說
Telling by pouring out
對街7-Eleven
Stories of the 7-Eleven store on the opposite of the street
千篇一律的故事
In its uniform and monotonous tale

嘻哈褲少年
The teenagers on they hip hop baggy street-wear pants

啜飲Coca Cola
Drinking and gulping Coca Cola

搖頭擺腰走出來
Swaying their hips, shaking heads, twisting, wobbling, and twerking

手牽幼兒
With hands holding their youngster kids

少婦大腹便便
The paunchy young ladies pot-bellied

走了進去
Walking to enter

掰開夾縫
Prying open the crevice between
