英國樂團Brotherhood of Man是由唱片製作人Tony Hiller於1969所創立，最初只是被用來作為對外發行歌曲的一個團名 ( 當時有許多歌曲只是找一些幕後歌手來錄唱，而成員可經常變換組合。)。初期 ( 1970 )，曾推出過一首《United We Stand》，由於被電台大力放送，甚至成為了國際暢銷曲 ( US #13 / Canada #9 / Uk #10 )。但隨後兩年，因未再有佳作，終於被唱片公司放棄不續約，原經常合作的歌手各奔前程，樂團也形同解散。


第一代的 Brotherhood of Man

但Tony Hiller自己並未放棄，仍想要讓Brotherhood of Man延續下去，並有了成立固定團員的想法。1972，找來了錄音歌手兩男一女的組合，1973發行了2首單曲，但都無緣進榜。隨即又有位女歌手的加入，成為了4人組合。1975，推出一首《Kiss Me Kiss Your Baby》，雖然在英國毫無迴響，但在比利時和荷蘭分別奪得冠亞軍，也終於打開了該團在歐洲的知名度。而Brotherhood of Man真正的成名，是在1976以一首《Save Your Kisses for Me》贏得「歐洲歌唱大賽」的冠軍。

看到Brotherhood of Man樂團，難免會想到瑞典樂團ABBA，兩團從團員的組合及曲風，的確有頗多相似之處。而ABBA也曾在之前的1974，贏過「歐洲歌唱大賽」的冠軍。Brotherhood of Man的一首《Angelo》(1977)，有許多的評論認為和ABBA的《Fernado》(1974)有些相似。而顯然Brotherhood of Man在樂壇上的成就不及ABBA，Brotherhood 在1984解散，但又在1986復合迄今。

此首《Beautiful Lover》為Brotherhood of Man於1978所推出的單曲，成績也還不差，在英國排行榜為第15名。反正，Disco曲風的歌曲，聽來都會讓人有些正面歡樂的情緒。以下所貼影音，竟有回應者認為兩位女生應未穿襯褲。厚，說這個的確有些無聊，呵呵呵！
