英國樂團The Troggs的主唱Reg Presley某日在家中，聽到電視中另個樂團The Joystrings正在唱Love、Love...什麼的，而忽然得到了靈感，寫下了此首《Love Is All Around》。

此首歌走的是抒情曲風，和不久前才使得該團一炮而紅的翻唱曲《Wild Thing》的強力節奏差異甚大，而此曲成績卻也頗為亮眼，在英(1967)美(1968)排行榜分別獲得第5及第7名。

1994蘇格蘭樂團Wet Wet Wet翻唱此曲，並被引用在電影《Four Weddings and a Funeral》( 台譯：你是我今生的新娘 ) 中作為插曲，Wet Wet Wet的版本不僅奪下英國排行榜的冠軍，也是英國排行榜史上在冠軍位置停留時間第二長的歌曲。
