荷蘭人的掠奪：
荷蘭，統治臺灣時，是以東印度公司的名義來掠取

荷蘭人在臺時，任何人只要向東印度公司繳納漁獵稅之後，即可獲得狩獵之許可證，在荷蘭勢力範圍內捕鹿。

於是明國閩南的漢人，開始成群結隊的進入臺灣，例如：於明國崇禎十年，漢人蘇鳴崗曾經率領大批明國漢人，來到臺灣投入荷蘭人的農業生產行列，這也是埋下了荷蘭人後來慘敗，退出臺灣的伏筆。
明國漢人所耕之農地，是荷蘭由臺灣人民手中「侵占而得」，故土地概為荷蘭東印度公司所有，然後放租給明國漢人耕種，名為「王田」，明國漢人有如荷蘭東印度公司的「佃農」，明國漢人在耕種過程中只提供勞力和技術；而耕牛、農具、種籽等等，概由荷蘭人供應，收成後，明國漢人則按「田地之等則」繳納租穀。
