二二八事件在南港：八屍命案
三月十五日深夜，有一輛軍車開到了跨越「南港溪」的橋邊停下，一個中國軍官從駕駛座旁下車後，走到軍車的後面，對著車上的士兵下令：
「把他們一個一個拖下來，處決！」接著從車上拖下幾個矇著眼睛，手腳被綁住的人，一一跳下車後，開槍殺死後，被拋到南港溪裡。
南港溪當時漲潮，在第二天潮水退了之後，這些屍體並未隨波逐流而去，竟然統統留在橋下沙灘上。
當天早上，該里的里長，扛著鋤頭出外要去巡田水，走到溪邊，竟然發現溪邊有屍體，嚇得他飛也似的往家中跑，邊跑邊大喊：「不得了了！代誌大條了！溪邊有屍體了、、、」。
如此，邊跑邊嚷，住戶紛紛探頭出來看，到底發生了什麼大事，里長竟然會嚇得臉色鐵青，還邊跑邊嚷，經居民擋下里長，詢問他到底發生了什麼事？里長才上氣不接下氣，氣喘喘的說：
「溪邊有很多屍體、、、。」如此一傳十、十傳百，馬上傳遍了整個南港，好奇心重的人，馬上跑到南港溪邊去看個究竟，後來警察聞訊趕來查看，經過警察一具一具的清點：
宋斐如、（見前）林旭屏、鄭聰、周淵過、林定枝、邱守陽、林麗鏘。
吳鴻麒：（註：吳伯雄的二伯父）
西元一九四七年三月十二日下午，吳鴻麒推事在高等法院辦公時，有個人找他，說：「柯參謀欲請吳推事。」
在此之前，吳鴻麒曾受命當軍法官，故與柯參謀認識，因此他心知肚明、心裡有數，該來的終究躲不了，因而在離開前，順手用日文寫下便條：
「終於在今天被檢舉，我今天帶了不少錢，不用再送錢，我的自轉車會託工友送回家。三月十二日下午三點半」
吳鴻麒是八具屍體中，穿著最整齊的一個人，但下半身卻被打得遍體麟傷，死狀悽慘，令人不忍卒睹。
原來，吳鴻麒推事，執法公正嚴明，在陳儀謊稱的「臺灣光復」後的司法亂象，憂心忡忡。
有一天，他與好友林桂瑞律師商量，找一位「留日可以信任的中國同事」商量，意圖共同阻止「貪官汙吏」的「貪贓枉法」、、、。
倘若他能事先了解：「中國人如果可以信任的話，那他必定不是中國人。」果不其然，這個「留日可以信任的中國同事」，就是告密檢舉人，因而使吳鴻麒和專賣局長林旭屏兩人，共赴黃泉。
吳鴻麒是高等法院法官（另有人說是檢察官。）他是今日『中國國民黨的副主席吳伯雄』的二伯父。
這是不是非常的諷刺，當年中國國民黨軍，殘殺他的二伯父，現在他卻當中國國民黨的「老二」（副主席），這難道是吳妻楊○治所說的「報應」？吳氏夫婦必當所不樂見。
此人侍敵甘為走狗，為虎作倀。雖說當時「全數臺灣人民」都被蔣介石、陳儀等中國人，所矇騙而不自知，然其深受日本高等教育，是高級知識分子，豈能有「不知」之罪？尤其此同時期的廖文毅已知「非法蔣政權」，而吳鴻麒又是「推事」（即今法官）是「法律專家」，豈有不知之理？
在《漫話二二八》裡，關於此段，其言：「獨裁者為了鞏固自身權利，會不擇手段，剷除異己。」並在「獨裁者」的「畫像前」用「思想筆法」寫出：『殺雞警猴』四個大字，意即：獨裁者在剷除「異己者」及「阻礙貪贓枉法的絆腳石」的意思。
但作者卻認為「殺雞警猴」這四個字的含意，應該還要更推進一步，也就是：在警告這些替外來侵略政權「搖旗吶喊」、「為虎作倀」的臺灣人，你們的行為己經是「兩面不是人了」：
（1）你侍奉的外來主人，不要你了而殺之；警告其他人不得有異心；因此縱然你是被你的外來主子所殺害，是被害人，但卻並不值得憐憫。因為：
（2）你在生前，背叛了臺灣人民及土地，養你育你成人，但你卻甘為外來的日本人、中國人這些外來侵略政權的走狗，豈不是「死了活該」！？「殺雞警猴」就是在警告：「像你們這種「吃裡扒外」的臺灣畜牲。」
