85歲桃姐(化名)曾從事裁縫及竹籐編織工作，原已退休數十年，勞動部高屏澎東分署高屏澎東區銀髮人才資源中心和她接觸後，積極鼓勵她再度發揮自我專長、投入就業市場，最終順利推介她至合適的授課單位，當起手藝編織老師，迎來職場的嶄新第二春天。
桃姐自幼對手工藝充滿熱忱，16歲那年，她向日本老師學縫紉技術，學有所成後進入職場，擔任裁縫師專為顧客量身訂做衣服。當成衣業興起、傳統手工裁縫產業逐漸沒落，她轉而從事竹籐編織工作，靠著一雙巧手養育兒女，直到兒女都長大成人後，才從職場上退休。
某次，高屏澎東區銀髮人才資源中心舉辦駐點活動，接觸了桃姐，諮詢過程感受其熱情活力、樂於分享的特質，鼓勵她運用長才重返職場，再度展現勞動價值。她原考量年紀和離開職場已久而猶豫再三，但經輔導員不斷分享其他銀髮族重返職場的案例，鼓勵她嘗試新的改變，另一方面積極為她開發適合的職務，終於讓她有了重返職場的勇氣，中心也順利將她推介至手藝工作室等單位擔任手藝編織老師。
