March. 20 - the first beautiful day of the year in New York
yesterday i brought some Iris to my friends' birthday party.
Friday evening,
an excitement floated and vibrated in the air;
i walked,
one hand held a bunch of pretty purple Iris,
the other hand was trying to catch the air flew through my fingers,
like a dream catcher.
"Happy Birthday!!!"
This morning, you woke up, saw the golden color shined on the old bricks,
you knew this is going to be a gorgeous day
so and so,
i went to Riverside Park for a walk,
the green light was on while i was actually about to head back home..
for no reason but just ran across the street on the sidewalk to the park....
sunshine touched my face, my arm, my hair so gently,
oh, New York in Spring, so beautifully made and i'm so madly in love with;
i lied on the bench for a nap too (always the thing on the top of "my favorites list")
it was satisfied, quiet, warm.
walked back, The Riverside Church was open,
the church that had always been in renovation since the first time i came to Columbia..
found the doors open finally, i stepped inside on the central aisle,
such a tall space, laid the hands, palm up, almost felt like i could receive the power from above
i prayed, and i read a little paragraph from the books in the front pocket,
it was Psalm -74 :16 & 17
Yours is the day, Yours also is the night;
You have prepared the light and the sun.
You have established all the boundaries of the earth;
You have made summer and winter.
It didn't talk about spring though,
maybe that's the reason why i was reading this paragraph in spring..
also i met one of my favorite words again-"perpetuate"-
the first time when i learned this word, was in the chorus..
i was so amazed by the sound of "p",
it makes "perpetuate" sound like the texture of light, whicih i like
sometimes just don't get it how these things are so beautifully made?
get a reason for me?
