有香味的木頭都是沉香嗎?
植物界中除了花、草植物會有香氛味，木本植物也有許多帶有香氣。目前帶有香氛味的木本植物約有一百多種樹。
例如大名鼎鼎的印度檀香木，
*豆科黃檀屬-降香黃檀黃花梨，
*豆科紫檀屬-小葉紫檀，
*豆科降真香屬-降真香，
*柏科--台灣肖楠木、台灣黃檜木，
*大戟科土沉香屬，
*樟木科-肉桂，阿尼巴木屬-花梨木
*橄欖科乳香屬、沒藥屬-乳香、沒藥等。
但這些都不是國際認定的真沉香喔!
國際認定的真沉香只有瑞香科(Thymelaeaceae)中的
沉香屬(Aquilaria spp.)與
擬沉香屬(Gyrinops spp.)
只有這兩種屬的樹種所結出的沉香才是國際認定的真沉香。

Are all scented woods agarwood?
In addition to flowers and scent of grass plants in the world, some woody plants have many aromas. There are more than one hundred species of woody plants with aroma.
For example, the famous Santalum album-Indian sandalwood,
*Dalbergia genus - D. odorifera- Huanghuali,
*Pterocarpus genus - P. santalinus- Red sandalwood,
*Dalbergia genus -parviflora - Lakawood ( jiangzhenxiang)
*Cupressaceae family - C. formosana, Chamaecyparis obtusa var. formosana
*Euphorbiaceae family-Excoecaria agallocha
*Lauraceae family- C. cassia, Anaiba rosaeodora-Rosewood
*Burseraceae family-Boswellia genus, Commiphora genus- frankincense, myrrh, etc. But those are not the internationally recognized true agarwood!
The internationally recognized true agarwood are only in the Aquilaria spp. and Gyrinops spp. of Thymelaeaceae family. Only the agarwood produced by the two species of genus are the internationally recognized True Agarwood.
