I went to the National Gallery beside Trafalgar Square (in memory of Lord Nelson) in London before the beginning of the second term.
Part of the painting exhibited, mum said, is for Queen Victoria. I was interested when I heard this. Because next term in History we are going to learn the Victorian, I could take a photo or two or three to show Miss Uglow (my teacher). But much to my disappointment, Dad said we were not allowed to take any photos.
I still like the painting though. There is one famous painting, Sunflowers, it was called and it's painted by Vincent Van Gogh. It's pretty famous I’m sure you know it. I like it because Van Gogh keeps it in a colour family (YELLOW) and he uses shades and colours so well that it looks like real.
I like other painting as well, some were angels, some were flowers, some were battles, some were countrysides and some were the birth of Jesus, lots actually. But the one I really liked was a painting of horse. It's not surprising to see that I like horses. What really impressed me was the picture itself. The artist (I forgot the name) painted it so well that it looks like real. Mind you it's a real horse, and this horse won the second prize in a race. See? Good well. What I thought next was that the artist was impressed by it too, so he painted the horse. The horse's standing up on its hind legs in the painting and it look like it's facing you. I like the painting best of all.
Oh how I wish I could go back to the Gallery again.
PS: I bought a bookmark, and on the top was the horse!

1.英國國家藝廊收藏許多知名畫家的作品，主要是從十四、五世紀到十九世紀，梵谷雖只是其中之一，但是因名聲大，畫作前駐足觀賞者也多，特別是長期展出的向日葵，主題明確，用色突出，業餘及職業愛好者都能各取所好，所以畫前眾多圍觀者的景象，往往比畫作還先吸引人注意，不過喜歡動物的Jenny，真正心儀的還是那一幅栩栩如生的大型駿馬圖，國家藝廊販售部二種主要書韱造型，一個是天使，另一個就是那一匹馬。
2. 為了促進觀光及藝術普及，倫敦許多大型博物館的常設性展覽都已不收費，
只針對特展收取費用，其餘則改成捐獻方式，觀賞者各取所需，也自己衡量所能和所應付出的代價，參觀免費博物館也是倫敦遊值得推薦的行程，大英博物館、自然歷史博物館、科學博物館、國家藝廊、泰德美術館等等，都能夠使遊客滿載而歸，大嘆時間不夠用。
