大陸9.3大閱兵在北京舉行，中共七常委及已退休領導人江澤民、李鵬、胡錦濤、溫家寶等大老「三代同堂」現身天安門城樓。江澤民身體狀況良好，精神不錯；而胡錦濤則與其他人互動不多。
根據中央電視台畫面顯示，昨天登上城樓的已退休領導人還有前總理朱鎔基、前人大委員長吳邦國、前國家副主席曾慶紅、前政協主席賈慶林、前中紀委書記吳官正、賀國強、前政協主席李瑞環等人。
在習近平和李克強中間，站著江澤民和胡錦濤，呈現「三代領導人同堂」的畫面；習江2人還不時咬耳朵。從現場畫面來看，江澤民精神很好，除了下台階的時候需要攙扶，平路上可以自己行走，身體狀況還不錯。但有人發現，江澤民雖雙手扶著護欄，但左手僅用了三根手指。
江澤民於2002年卸任中共總書記，2003年卸任中國國家主席，但此後他保留了中央軍委主席一職。直到2004年9月中共十六屆四中全會，他才辭去中央軍委主席。他至今仍有影響力，但已很少在公開場合露面。上次公開亮相是去年9月在北京人民大會堂舉行國慶招待會
還可觀察到，胡錦濤的手有時會發抖，一如他的風格，獨自一人靜靜看閱兵。他在位時的搭檔溫家寶，則在天安門城樓護欄前筆直地站立，面帶微笑；朱鎔基一改參加2009年中共建政60周年閱兵穿黑西裝打黑領帶，滿頭白髮的他，這次打上酒紅色領帶，只是仍舊一臉嚴肅。
