1. 拋棄川普

這是選前共和黨部分人士促黨切割川普的口號。不過川普既已當選，這句口號有了不同意義。有些人正在網路連署請願，寫信給選舉人團成員，要求他們不要按照他們所屬的州的投票結果來投選舉人票。

闢謠網站Snopes.com說，這是極其不可能發生的事，並指這將是「美國歷史上完全前所未見的景象，必須在美國政治傳統出現突然而劇烈改變時才可能發生」。

2. 搭橋而非築牆

在邁阿密的抗議中，示威者高舉「搭橋，而非築牆」的標語，直指川普時常宣揚的在美墨邊境興建一座牆的計畫。

愛阿華州抗議者本週提出兩個主要目標。首先，他們希望讓大家明白，以言語煽動對有色人種、移民及同性戀、雙性戀與變性（LGBT）的暴力不會得逞。

4. 對於川普所說過會造成分裂的事，他應予譴責

紐約一名抗議者說，川普真的必須處理他過往所說過會造成分裂、仇恨的事情，並撤回、譴責這些說法。

5. 「不是我的總統」

亞特蘭大抗議的組織者表示，他們的訊息很簡單，「我們無法尊重川普是美國總統的事實」。
