走過一甲子的「天母白屋」，曾作為美軍顧問團駐台宿舍，是一棟混合日、美風格的磚木造建築，庭院還有大片草地，這是天母地區的重要地標，更是不少在地人的集體記憶。白屋2005年被公告為市定古蹟，期間歷經波折，今年7月終以整建後的新面貌示人，成為活化再生基地。

天母白屋興建於1953年，是1950年代韓戰時期美軍駐台宿舍，屋內約有40坪大，是仿美國郊區的獨棟建築，因外牆有白色雨淋板取名白屋。

位在天母的美軍宿舍原有4棟，白屋是僅存的1棟，產權隸屬台銀，在地居民認為應保留歷史的遺跡，2003年起發動連署為白屋請命，2年後雖被指定為市定古蹟，後續保存卻幾經波折，一度淪為荒煙漫草的廢墟。直到智邦藝術基金會參與北市府URS都市再生基地，今年7月才讓白屋重新開幕。

天母白屋管理者莊小姐表示，白屋整修時保留了原貌，大架構幾乎不變，屋內有起居室、廚房、幫傭房及3間房間，重新對外開放後，有曾在白屋居住過的朋友從國外回來造訪，依循現況回憶當年種種往事，猶如坐上時光機。

今年70多歲的郭邱澄枝分享，她年輕時就嫁到天母，夫婦兩人都幫美軍打掃、煮飯和照顧小孩，工作一天就有40、50塊美金，條件算很好，住家

主人也很善待她，至今

她仍時常回白屋，

向在地居民訴說

當年的青春

記事。
