Re-watch Billy Elliot 7-19-09; 7-26-09
Your family makes who you are. The history of your family is your history. It’s in your blood, like it or not. It's in you. It's you.
I felt related to Billy. I was the lucky one who got the whole family's support and allowed to pursue my dream, a selfish and arrogant dream.
“Always be yourself.” Billy’s mother told him so in the letter she left behind. You can't resist something that's part of you. You can pretend to be someone or something else, but the essence deep down in your heart will always be there and constantly contrite.
“Why Billy's father changed his mind so drastically in such a short time?” A asked. I thought, when a father saw his son's talent, he knew and he wanted to help his son to be successful, and probably most important, he saw the possibility that Billy had a chance to be something else than a third miner in the family, in the small town.
On their way to the audition, Billy and his father had this rarely occurred conversation. Billy's father, Jackie, never went to London. Why? Curious Billy asked. The answer was simple, for there was no mining in London. “Christ. Is it all you think of?” Billy did not understand his father. Not at that time. It's kind ironic, isn't it? To afford Billy's tuition at school, Billy's father and big brother (Tony) went back to mining. The strike was over; laborers’ bargain chip fell. Jackie and Tony did whatever they could to fulfill Billy's dream, a dream of a very different world from mining. That’s what family does, though painful and worried on both ends.

All families are the same: March of the Penguins
March of the Penguins was a film by National Geographic Channel, narrated by Morgan Freeman. Not so many words, but the sights of the empire penguins moving, holding eggs, extremely carefully transferring eggs between the parent, and siding and holding their new born babies are touching. Perhaps parenthood is something in animals’ blood by creation.
God is indeed amazing and full of wonder. Empire penguins are probably the only few tribes still up in Arctic area. They somehow find their way to where they were born and give birth to the next generation. In addition to the beauty, their gestures are not only cute, but warm. If you have a chance, take a look at it. It’ll warm your heart up.
