這是一首福音流行歌曲，由加拿大女歌手Anne Murray於1970首錄發行，但並未受到矚目。稍後又由加拿大樂團Ocean推出其版本，竟一舉奪下了美國告示牌熱門100排行榜的第2名，也成為1971最佳銷售藝人的第22名。

Anne Murray後來在自傳中提到，對於錯失了這首熱門暢銷曲感到很沮喪，而且她認為Ocean唱這首歌時還有走音。其實，唱片公司認為Anne Murray唱的太宗教味、以及過於陽剛，是其未能成功的原因。或許，她也應該檢討自己一下才是。^^

此曲的翻唱者眾多，包含了有貓王Elvis Presley、民謠皇后Joan Baez等，但成績均未能超越Ocean的版本。而Ocean樂團也不怎麼爭氣，成立5年就解散了(1970 ~ 1975)，也只留下了這首熱門曲供人懷念。
