華航機師罷工事件勞資協商近7小時，最後以無共識收場，罷工繼續，雙方擇期再議。
桃園市機師職業工會華航分會8日發動的史上首度機師罷工，交通部9日下午3點邀集勞資雙方協商，但第一個議題就卡住，有關疲勞航班飛行員派遣人數經6個多小時協商，仍無法達成共識，晚間9點15分工會理事長李信燕離開會場，她透露華航同意飛行12小時以上派4人，但不同意7小時派3人，雙方決定各自帶回研究，擇期再議。
據透露，會議一開始工會就針對華航暫時停止與罷工機師僱傭關係一事，進行了近2小時的正面交鋒，會議開到5點，交通部發布訊息指出，針對華航對作業單位發出信件，指將暫時停止與罷工機師之僱傭關係，造成工會會員對其法定權利恐受損害有所疑慮。
因此，勞資座談前，華航依工會代表請求，先就「暫時停止僱傭關係」一詞所衍生之疑慮澄清，罷工成員與華航之間的僱傭關係依法持續存續，僅於罷工期間暫時停止薪資、外站住宿、交通費及相關福利事項等相關給付。
華航總經理謝世謙會後表示，這次協商雙方都很有誠意，會儘快恢復協商，希望可以求同。
工會共提出五大訴求，包括疲勞航班改善問題、副駕駛升訓制度、禁止對工會會員秋後算帳與非會員禁搭便車、撤換破壞勞資關係的主管、比照長榮保證第13個月全薪。
交通部政務次長王國材說明，華航同意12小時以上飛行機師從3位增為4位，不同意7小時以上飛行從2人增為3人，主要是因為華航約7小時40分的航班很多，如果增為3人，且要的是正機師，公司機師不夠用。他並強調，會盡力爭取10日繼續坐下來談。
李信燕則透露華航不同意主要是成本考量，但機師在飛機關艙門起飛前後有兩個半小時的報到與準備時間，以7小時為單位，實際工時已達9.5小時，工會這樣的要求是卑微的。
華航9日共18個航班停飛，影響的訂位人數共2,859人。機師工會截至9日晚間9點為止，機師工會已收到會員上繳的檢定證超過450張，華航共有1,336名機師，代表決定參與罷工機師已超過三成三。
