一名德國安全官員說，嫌犯於8月在德國南部腓特烈港(Friedrichshafen)因為偽造文書被逮捕，該文書是對艾姆里驅逐令暫緩執行的庇護文件，但他最後被法官釋放。葉格表示，嫌犯在德國申請庇護，在7月遭到駁回，當局嘗試將他遣返回突尼西亞卻，卻因嫌犯沒有證件失敗。
報導指出，艾姆里跟多名伊斯蘭教士聯繫密切，他們均為IS的支持者。今年3月，艾姆里就積極找人加入他的攻擊行動，也曾試圖找1名臥底警官購買手槍。目前德國當局已對艾姆里下達通緝令，歐洲也懸賞10萬歐元(約新台幣332萬4615元)給提供線索者，盡力將他逮捕歸案。

備受矚目的東芝半導體競標案投標截止日就在3月底，日前日媒報導有超過10家企業有興趣，包括國際同業、投資基金和企業等，但也有報導表示日本政府將以更嚴格的態度來審查這件案子，主要考量國安問題與國際競爭力，因此市場關注鴻海投資東芝記憶體是否能取得首勝。
東芝股東臨時會30日召開，屆時有意參與東芝半導體競標案的單位可能將出爐。之前日媒曾報導，有超過10家企業有興趣，包括美光、SK海力士、甚至蘋果與微軟都被傳有意參與競標，台灣的台積電與鴻海也被市場點名有意參與。
但日本NHK日前報導，日本經濟產業大臣世耕弘成表示，將對參與東芝半導體案的外資企業進行嚴格審查，主要是從國家安全的觀點出發，就怕高階技術外流，影響國際競爭力，同時報導也說將要求買家維持日本國內雇用員工、以及資訊安全等項目。
而為了留住東芝半導體，報導也指日本官方色彩濃厚的日本政策投資銀行和日本官民基金「產業革新機構」（INCJ）等公眾基金，都將有意與美國投資基金合作參與該案。鴻海此次戰役競爭對手多，但鴻海經營夏普有成，成績連日方都有目共睹，能不能出線就等3月底揭曉。
