辛蒂羅波（Cyndi Lauper ，１９５３－）是美國著名的歌手　詞曲作家與演員

常被視為８０年代唯一能與樂壇女王瑪丹娜相提並論的女歌手

１９８３年秋天　她推出首張個人專輯〔She’s So Unusual〕

以一曲〔Girls Just Want to Have Fun／女孩只想玩樂〕

１９８４年春天　辛蒂推出第二首單曲〔Time After Time〕

這是一首旋律柔美的抒情曲　由羅波與搖滾樂者Ron Hyman共同創作

在羅波娓娓詮釋下　給人一種十分和暖的感覺

MV也拍得頗有故事性 描述一位即將與男友分離的女子
在前往車站的途中　回想兩人剛認識的情景
片末辛蒂坐上火車後　攝影機給她一個特寫
她還真情流露的落下一行熱淚來 十分感人

此曲登上美國流行單曲榜兩周冠軍 成人抒情榜冠軍　銷售達到金唱片

隔年得到葛萊美年度歌曲提名

另外加拿大則是冠軍 英國＃３　德國＃６　法國＃９澳洲＃６等



辛蒂在８０年上半期與瑪丹娜的對擂中是贏過對方的

只好聽過〔She’s So Unusual〕與看過她MV的樂迷就可以感覺出為何會如此

當然８０年下半期後兩人的星運就開始有了逆轉
Anyway ,〔Time After Time〕是流行音樂史的經典

至今已被６０位以上歌手翻唱過　可見其受歡迎的程度

我在１９８９（or １９９０？）乍聽此曲就相當喜歡

這是首相當耐聽的經典　推薦給各位





PS：片中辛蒂所看的電影是一代性感女神瑪琳黛德麗（Marlene Dierich）與１９３６年與法國大情人卻爾斯鮑育（Charles Boyer）主演的愛情文藝片〔The Garden of Allah〕
