There was a serious of Danish royal wedding celebration from May 8 to 14. Especially, Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Mary Donaldson would get married in a church named Vor Frue Kirke on May 14. So, how could I skip taking part in this joyful moment while I was in Denmark?
Of course, I was not a member of this royal family; thus, I could not witness this couple’s wedding ceremony in the church. Instead, I attended this joyful ceremony with common Danish through an extremely huge scream in front of the city hall, Radhuspladsen. Indeed, it was extremely over crowded then. But, most of people still crazily and happily took as many pictures as they could. Wow! The romantic and joyful atmosphere was just in the air of the whole Copenhagen.
What I wanted to mentioned was that most Danish people were all for their royal members. It might be that they were rather friendly instead of being cool. So, I could feel very well that most Danish cared about this royal wedding very much. They used Danish and Australian flags to decorate buses and buildings. Also, some local people would dress up or they would have some tattoo on their faces. In Tivoli, I also found a big mailbox that I could send a card to this married couple. Around the city, it was very easy for me to find roses or big hearts on the wall. I even found some small frog statures wearing crown in front of the city hall. There were really many things around Copenhagen which celebrated this joyful even.
Umm….I felt Copenhagen was especially cute and sweet when its citizens were full of joy and love.
