Tivoli was an amusement park located in Copenhagen. I visited here on May 14. I found lots of old couples, teenagers, families or lovers everywhere in this amusement park. I could feel that most Danish love it because they wore lots of smiles and had fun here. Here in Tivoli, it also sold a one-year ticket that you could pass the entrance freely and played any kind of rides if you like. A ticket for one year, oh mind! How could I imagine a teenager went here to have fun once in a week or more? Also, it was open till midnight around 1a.m. It sounds like crazy, doesn’t it? So, it was true that Tivoli was one of Danish favorite places in Copenhagen.
When I paid the entrance fee (65DK) and a ticket all I can play in one day (195DK), I joyfully passed the entrance and got started to explore this famous scenic spot. I found a roller coaster just at the right-hand side of the entrance. So, I thought why not try this first. Because I felt it was not that scary and dangerous for me, I took the seat in the second line without any hesitation. However, soon after I did regret. It was full of many ups and downs with high speed. Out of shock and fear, I screamed all the way up or down. I even held the bar as tight as I could. I almost wanted this roller coaster to stop immediately. Of course, it won’t listen to my order at all. I also wonder why the small child around ten year old sitting in the first line was not afraid at all because I could not hear his scream at all.
Despite the high speed of this roller coaster with many ups and downs, as a matter of fact; I felt it was good to enjoy many followers in blossom here and there. I could feel it was quite like taking a shower with many followers passing by frequently. Um…try to imagine it!
After taking this scary roller coaster, I became pretty weak and made up my mind “Never take ride with high speed or height. “ Later on, I spent most of time strolling around many pretty gardens with various colorful followers. I felt pretty relaxed seeing lots of followers in blossom. I felt thankful to those gardeners who took good care of them everyday. Thus, tourists like me could find a place to calm down and feel peaceful.
Surprisingly, I also found that there was a zone where many Chinese stuff was used. For instance, there was a Chinese-style building which was used as a Chinese restaurant. In addition, there was a small the Great wall, which has two Chinese characters “秦始” on the top of it. What’s more, I noticed lots of Chinese-style lamp hung almost everywhere. Or even an old Chinese passage was printed on a wall near the shops just nearby. Anyway, I felt like walking home and walking into my familiar environment.
In Tivoli, I thought if my budget was enough next time, I might enjoy my meal in one of the restaurants. Some restaurants were really nice because it has good surrounding, and it offered exotic cuisines. Additionally, since I liked Tivoli very much, I would like to take my friends having fun here with me next time. Anyway, Tivoli was a good place for people with different ages. Also, it was good to come here anytime from spring to autumn.
