韓國多家醫院被MERS攻陷，醫勞盟理事長張志華今天說，「韓國回台發燒，通通去急診」，但醫學中心急診爆滿，隔離病患談何容易，希望衛福部快想辦法。
韓國中東呼吸症候群（MERS）確診病例來到87例，重災區平澤聖母醫院關閉，波及三星首爾醫院急診室，引發第三波疫情。此時，我國花蓮慈濟醫院急診室收治的本國發燒病患曾接觸過韓國人，一度拉起封鎖線，虛驚一場。
任職新光醫院急診醫師的張志華說，醫學中心急診室原本就擠滿檢傷分類較不緊急病患，還有酒醉、路倒、要換藥或輸血患者，現在韓國MERS疫情發燒，韓國回台發燒傳染病篩檢也擠到急診，造成醫護更大負擔。
「死也要死在大醫院」，慈濟醫院急診部主任胡勝川解釋，民眾迷信大醫院，寧可擠在醫學中心急診室苦等病床。
立委趙天麟指出，醫學中心急診爆滿，萬一出現疑似MERS病患，不容易隔離病患，希望民眾自主通報，政府提供獎勵金，避免擴散傳染，衛福部長蔣丙煌原則同意。
醫學中心一床難求，病患塞在急診，台大醫院每天有316人急診，遠高於日本東京大學醫學院附設醫院的每天24人。根據健保署民國103年度「急診品質提升方案」報告，醫學中心有3成重症病患應入住加護病房，卻無法在6小時內入住。
【記者陳敬哲／台北報導】衛福部欲解決醫學中心急診壅塞，研議願意接受下轉病患的區域與地區醫院，比照醫學中心申報健保給付方案，預期能增加下轉誘因，同時也提醒民眾，醫療院所是以規模分級，而非能力分級，當急診病患需求符合特定醫院處理能力，病患就能得到最好照護，不一定非要到大醫院。
