「窮人的貧乏，是他的敗壞。」(箴言十:15)窮人是缺乏的人，有需要的人。人真正的貧乏，是窮人一直注意他的窮；有缺乏的人，一直注意他的缺乏；有需要的人，一直盯住他的需要。他把自己貧窮的問題擴大化，深化自己的貧乏，被自己所需咬住。以致，他在增加自己貧窮的困擾，添加自己缺乏的急迫，與縮短需要的時間。這是非常危險的事，如同人在偏僻、幽暗的小路，開輛破爛的車子，又持續加速。
怎麼辦？學習當個富人吧！「富戶的財物，是他的堅城。」(箴言十:15)一個人若以已擁有的為滿足，那將是他生命的穩定，穩如堅固的城，這是富人。加速度的反義「減速度」，堅固與穩定是在減速度的狀況下發生。什麼是窮人與富人，在於所注意的，是自己的所無或所有。
