Trust in God does not mean that we can just sit there doing nothing and keep saying to ourselves, "I trust you, I trust you, I trust you ..."
It's more like having a boss, a good and wise one, and we are his employee. Each of us will be assigned to different jobs at different times, according to God's integrating plan. However, we still need to make proposals from time to time. With respect, we lift up our proposal to him and say, "Heavenly Father, this is my proposal for the future. If this is the same as your will, then let it be. If this is not, then I'll just leave it here as a sacrifice for you and I'll be waiting for your instructions."
Sometimes, our proposal might seem pretty sensible to us but it's just not in God's plan. Though we might feel frustrated, it is really the time of showing our trust in him. Worry not, just do our best and believe that he has already tailored (not mass produced) the best and unique future for every one of us :)
(Inspired by Uncle Wong and the preaching of Joyce Meyer. Thank you.)
